I'm hesitantly hopeful - I've been given clearance to walk again, and it feels like I can finally enjoy life again, too. I check my ankle constantly to see if it's red or swollen (paranoia), but so far it's holding up great!
I go for physical therapy on Thursday. Praise God that this might finally be over.
Hello.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear of your setbacks. Friday will be 7 months since my Achilles Tendon surgery. I spent 4 weeks in a no weight bearing cast. 2 weeks in a full weight bearing cast. Two weeks in a removable walking boot, then back in shoes. I have to say my recovery went very smooth. After I was back in shoes, I walked with a limp. Therapy helped me with that. As I talk to you today, I'm done with therapy, done with doctors appts, and pretty much back to normal. One thing I noticed was being in a cast for 6 weeks, walking boot for two, it straightend my left foot. LOL Not a big difference, but I can tell. Anybody else can't tell the difference. I'm still very careful with steppping, watching uneven paavement etc. I'm also aware of my other Achilles Tendon. Don't want IT to rupture. Again, I'm very careful. Good luck to you!!
